Hello! I am Ellie, a photographer located in the South Bay. I love being a wedding photographer, and weddings in Redondo Beach are especially wonderful. I love sharing your love story from this beautiful place where I grew up. Redondo Beach is a gorgeous place, with tons of small businesses and beautiful people. The beach itself is one of my favorite places. I love to go on sunset walks down towards RaT Beach, watching the waves crash into the Palos Verdes coastline.
I photograph tons of weddings and engagements in the South Bay and often find myself on the beach in Redondo, which is perfect for sunset photo sessions. There might not be a more perfect place on earth than right here in the South Bay. That’s why I was so excited to photograph this wedding on the beach.
Every little girl imagines getting married in the most dreamy locations, and a wedding on the beach has to be at the top of the list for a magical, whimsical wedding. Hunter and Alex decided to make that dream a reality by getting married on the beach in Redondo Beach, California.

Alex got ready at the Shade Hotel with her bridesmaids and her mom. The morning of your wedding day is such a special time, I love getting to see brides spending time with the people that matter most to them.
A Wedding On The Beach
Hunter & Alex’s wedding was as magical of a beach wedding as you could have. It was a beautiful, sunny day, and the clouds and ocean created the perfect ambiance. They got married just before sunset, giving themselves and their guests a magical show.
You might be wondering how hard it is to have a wedding on the beach. As it turns out, it is not very hard to make your dreams come true. Redondo Beach allows you to get married on the Beach with only a permit from LA County. Redondo doesn’t ask you to have their own permit! You have to apply between 90 days before your event, but no less than three weeks before so it could be a tight squeeze, but if you really want it, a beach wedding could be yours relatively easily!
Hunter & Alex’s Love
I have photographed a lot of engagements and day-after sessions at the beach, but getting to have your romantic couple’s Portraits on the beach on your wedding day is an unmatched opportunity. Hunter & Alex were a dream, and I will be dreaming of fairytale beach weddings any time I see these images from now on. It is every Redondo Beach Wedding photographer’s dream to photograph weddings on the beach, and we were so honored to photograph this one.
