We photograph all types of weddings! Here are a few examples of alternative wedding options.

• Elopements – An elopement is a wedding with under 10-15 people, including your vendors. We believe that many clients will plan to have a small elopement in 2020, and then have a bigger celebration in 2021.

Micro Weddings – A micro wedding is a wedding under 50 people. A micro wedding is encouraged if you have a larger family, but want to keep your guests safe through social distancing. This is an amazing opportunity to be able to celebrate your love, with a number of your close family, while still creating your dream fairytale wedding.

• Editorials – An editorial styled shoot is an awesome opportunity for a bride and groom to have a styled shoot in their wedding gown and tux before their wedding day. We work closely with our clients past to create a beautiful, fairytale moment to capture their love. We can even plan for your editorial session on your originally planned wedding days!

• Love Celebration – We encourage all sorts of creative love celebrations. If you want to have a fun celebration, party, or small gathering, we would love to be a part of your story. Send us your ideas and we can create an amazing celebration together!

Helpful Articles About Your Photoshoot!

natural, dreamy, whimsical, and free

One word: Amazing.

We are so, so happy that we booked Ellie for our micro-wedding during these COVID times. We were pretty stressed out because we canceled our wedding, then a few months later decided to get married on our original date...with about 6 weeks to re-plan everything with a new venue. Although most of our vendors worked with us on the change of plans, our original photographer claimed she was no longer available (and kept our deposit too!) which really added to the frustration and stress.

Then came Sun & Sparrow. I wanted to book them for our original wedding but it was a little out of our budget, but since we changed to a micro-wedding, it was now affordable! Sun and Sparrow were super flexible in working with us and our ridiculous requests two weeks before the wedding (we were worried California would shut down again...or one of us would get COVID the day before...then the fires happened and we were worried our venue would burn down since it was in the Santa Monica Mountains...and of course, we had gotten burned by the other photographer, so once bitten twice shy!).

But thankfully, none of those extreme examples happened. Ellie showed up bright and early, took amazing photos of us and our guests (and did every permutation possible to appease my mother), stayed overtime beyond what we had contracted her for to take MORE photos, made us look PHENOMENAL on a hot day when the two of us were melting in the sun and I was about to collapse from the shoes I failed to break in properly. We got previews very quickly and got our photos about a month later -- all 449 of them, for a short 2 hour wedding with 12 socially distanced guests including our officiant friend. They look natural, dreamy, whimsical, and free -- just the style we wanted. We love them all and have been slowly sharing them with friends and family who couldn't come.

20 out of 10 would recommend again.
