A Beautiful La Venta Inn Wedding

La Venta Inn is a hidden gem of a venue, nestled in the cliffs of beautiful Palos Verdes. The venue was originally a historical Inn that they transformed into an amazing place to have your wedding. A La Venta Inn wedding offers so many photo opportunities. Every step that you take within this gorgeous space highlights the romantic history of the location with beautiful views and a rustic architectural design covered in climbing ivy.

One of the most intriguing elements of La Venta inn is that it offers a ceremony that overlooks the beach cities and the ocean itself. Weddings at this venue feel as if they have limitless possibilities as your gaze carries over the water and you feel the soft ocean breeze on your skin. Having your wedding so close to the ocean also offers the most beautiful sunset views that look wonderful in your wedding pictures and will be treasured for years to come.

The Couple: Yeri and Ian

Yeri and Ian are a vibrant and energetic couple. They brought their incredibly fun personalities to their wedding day and added all of their silliness to the space, warming it and making the whole day feel light and breezy. The couple met in medical school and dated long-distance for a few years.

I am so inspired by their perseverance through residency and school. It was clear that the relationships that they built during those years were strong as there were a lot of wonderful guests at their wedding who were so incredibly excited to see and share in Yeri and Ian’s joy. You can tell that they care about what they do and that they care about the people that they meet because they offer so much of themselves to the people around them. Yeri and Ian are an inspiration!

The Vendors:

Deanna Nash Events: Deanna Nash is the coordinator who introduced me to Yeri and Ian. I absolutely love her. She is kind, gentle, warm, and hardworking. She always delivers her best work and she exceeds my expectations every time I work with her.

Yeri and Ian’s wedding was no different. Deanna showed up with a smile and greeted everyone with grace, making sure to keep all of the wedding ducks in a row. Working with Deanna always feels like working with a dear friend. She is open and we get to know a bit more about each other’s lives every time we work together. I really appreciate that she is experienced, so she always knows what to do when a new situation comes up.

Florist: Little Hill Floral Designs: The flowers were open and free and Yeri’s colors were warm pastels: Blush, creams, yellows, and peach

Caterer: Made by Meg

DJ: Vox DJs

The day:

Yeri and Ian’s day started with the getting ready phase. Yeri got ready at Sonesta in Redondo Beach. Sonesta is a high end, botique hotel that was really wonderful to photograph. The rooms were beautifully styled and had a lot of natural light, which made them great for syling flatlays. There was also a lot of space for people to get their makeup and hair done. It was so nice to see Yeri have a nice morning with ease and connection with family and friends.

After getting ready we went to La Venta Inn where Yeri finished getting ready in the bridal suite which was really pretty. The room was luxurious with chandeliers and a fireplace, with PV stones. Ian got ready in the groom’s suite which was masculine and elegant with deep blue leather tufted chairs and a great hangout space for the guys.

Yeri and Ian had their first look at the keyhole lookout, which is one of La Venta’s iconic spaces for first looks. Then we continued their portraits on their cobblestone pathways with ivy covered arches and rustic trellaces.

Of course, their ceremony overlooked the ocean and their reception was in the ballroom, featuring a rustic fireplace and unique candle chandeliers. It was a beautiful day and an awesome party to end the night! I definitely recommend having a La Venta Inn Wedding.
