FROM THE BRIDE // HOW WE MET //  It all started with a dodgeball league in San Francisco. Cindy signed up with a few of her friends, Jack joined with some of his buddies, and fate put us on the same team, which was a good thing because we never had to throw the ball at each other. Jack eventually built up enough courage to ask Cindy out on a date (or maybe it was Cindy who asked Jack out…this point is often debated) and, as they say, the rest is history.

San Francisco has been a central part of our lives and our relationship. We spent the majority of our 20s in this city where we started our professional careers, explored the wonders of the Bay Area, and made lifelong friends.  We grew, learned, and became the people we are today. We fell in love in this city. For these reasons and many more, San Francisco will always hold a special place in our hearts.  We are thrilled that Sun and Sparrow could accommodate our engagement shoot in one of our favorite cities.

OUR ENGAGEMENT STORY // We took a vacation in Puerto Vallarta last year, and on the last night of the trip Jack made dinner reservations at one of the nicest restaurants in town. Ready for a night out, Jack suggested that we take some pictures before leaving for dinner on the balcony of our hotel room, overlooking the ocean. After a couple of photos, Jack set up for another but instead of posing he got down on one knee and proposed! The best part about this plan was that we were able to catch the whole thing on camera right at sunset.

It turns out that the date we got engaged was February 29th – Leap Day. According to Irish tradition, this is a day where women are supposed to propose to men, but apparently Jack didn’t get that memo :).  After months of planning and preparation, we can’t wait to gather our closest friends and family in San Clemente, CA for a day we will never forget!
