Gavi and Andy’s Romantic Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort Wedding
The Couple: Gavi and Andy
Gavi and Andy were beautiful and kind. It was clear that they had great relationships with their parents. The families loved each other with vibrancy and an overwhelming sense of Joy. The value that they put on family stood out as they shared their love. I was so touched to see all of the children in the family involved in the wedding day.
During the getting ready part of the day, all of the family helped each other with the kids. You might think that having children running around on the morning of your wedding would be chaotic and difficult but I watched as the family had a wonderful time watching the children play while helping each other with anything they needed.
I come from a close-knit family myself. Holidays and events are always full of uncles and aunts, cousins, and all of their children. In some moments those days can feel overwhelming, but mostly you feel the special love of family surrounding you and you know that everything will be alright. When I saw how Gavi and Andy’s families loved and supported each other I felt right at home and knew that their love was going to last.
The Venue: The Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort
The Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort is STUNNING. The venue is full of Spanish arches and glimmering beach light. It is a luxuriously modern Spanish-inspired resort with ocean views and a classic California Palm tree skyscape. A cherry on top is the fact that the beautiful Santa Barbara beach is just across the street from the resort. Any couple considering this venue should put it right at the top of their list just for its sheer beauty.
The Wedding Day
Gavi and Andy’s wedding was full of traditional Jewish ceremonies. The Badeken and Tish ceremony is one of my favorites. I love watching (and photographing) all of the loud celebration, live music, and dancing as the groom marches toward the bride to take off her veil.
Something that really stands out to me about Jewish weddings is that when the couple exchanges rings they will place the ring on their partner’s pointer finger, and the partner must then put the ring on their ring finger themselves. This symbolizes the fact that you must choose to be married as much as you are being chosen.
The weather was perfect on their wedding day. It was a little warm but the ocean breeze helped lighten the mood and you could tell that everyone was excited to see Gavi and Andy get married!

Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort Wedding Photographer
I had such a beautiful time photographing at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort. The lighting is immaculate and the environment offers really clean backdrops and framing. When it comes to options to create imagery, the arches make amazing frames and the textured walls are beautiful. The way the sun comes in through the windows is really magical and the soft light that comes in on the beach is incredibly dreamy. I can’t wait to photograph here again!
