Interview With The Bride

Dennie & Kim’s wedding was an incredibly special day that we were so grateful to take part in. Their connection with each other was as beautiful as their connections to those close to them. We asked Kim a few questions about her special day and invite you to read about their love story.

Tell us about your wedding

The wedding day flew by so quickly. I can honestly say that it was one of the happiest days of my life. I keep thinking back and wishing that I could relive it.

Before the wedding, everyone told me that I should try to enjoy every minute of it and not worry about the small stuff on the big day. However, after planning for this big event for so long, I couldn’t help but want to make sure every detail was going according to plan. Hindsight being 20/20, I should have listened to what everyone told me. So for all the future brides reading this, really try to enjoy your wedding day. Don’t let the small things get to you.

What was your favorite moment from your wedding?

It’s so hard to pinpoint my favorite moment. There are so many! I loved being with just my bridesmaids in the morning; it was fun to have girls’ time. I loved having my dog and my sister’s dog in the wedding. I loved how the decor of the wedding came together, even though I’m not very design savvy. I loved seeing my grandparents and parents’ happy faces that day, knowing that they’d been waiting for this moment for some time.

We just feel so grateful and lucky that Dennie and I were able to celebrate such an important day with all our families and friends who love us so much.

The Skirball Cultural Center is a museum Located in Los Angeles California. They are a Jewish cultural center, dedicated to freedom and equality. The center hosts many different galleries and events, including weddings. They have a team dedicated to hosting special events and fifteen acres of green space with a dry riverbed going through the venue.

There are two wedding spaces. The lower one is a large space in an amphitheater, while the upper space is upstairs and has lots of tropical greenery. My favorite spot to take photos at the Skirball is a balcony over a lily pad pond. There is also a garden walkway and a dry riverbed that look gorgeous in photos. One of my favorite things that I see in weddings is when a bride and groom have incredibly supportive friends. That was definitely the case during this wedding. The environment was calm and joyful and everyone was ready to go.

All first looks are really special and this one was no different. Dennie and Kim had their first look on a magical pathway covered in ivy. I loved how sweet and calm he was, clearly full of bubbles and joy.

Wedding party photos are always a fun event. Dennie and Kim’s wedding party was fun with a pinch of silly. They have all been friends for many years and the connection they all share was wonderful.
