Vic and I basically come from opposite sides of the world; I’m from Southern California and Vic is kind of from everywhere (Guam, Thailand, Singapore, Boston, you name it….), so we think it was probably fate when we happened to meet by chance about 3 years ago when I was living in Boston finishing up graduate school and Vic was living in San Francisco working in tech. Traveling started out of necessity for us trying to maintain a long distance relationship from opposite coasts of the country. Every month we would look up cheap flights in random cities and decide to meet up in places like Portland, Dallas, and Austin to keep things interesting. We crave adventure and spontaneity, so traveling naturally became a vital part of our relationship and took us to places like Thailand, Mexico, Indonesia, Laos and the Philippines. On April second of last year, Vic basically tricked me into marrying him when he proposed on the beach in Tulum! He made me think I lost one of my favorite rings (an older ring he got me at the beginning of our relationship)…after I was digging in the sand for a few minutes and on the verge of tears, Vic pretended like he “found” said ring and continued by putting a diamond ring on my finger. Being that it was shortly after April Fools, I seriously thought it was some kind of joke and said no (about 3 times). To this day we are not even sure if I said yes in that moment, but we really like each other so decided to stay engaged! HA. We are beyond excited to bring together our friends and family from all over the world in order to celebrate our marriage in the awesome little town of Whittier, California. It will be a Thai-Armenian celebration for the books!

WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR WEDDING? // Vintage 1920’s Speakeasy
WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE/FAVORITE PART ABOUT YOUR WEDDING DAY? // The Ceremony/ Exchanging Vows
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE SUN & SPARROW? // Beautiful photos and beautiful sisters! So easy to communicate with and work with. We wanted to have the best people to capture the best moments from our day and tell our story!
DID YOU DO ANY DIY PROJECTS? IF SO, WHAT? // Seating assignments through window-paned door // Printed guest name cards // Gold mercury glass candle votives // Chalk board table numbers // Flower centerpieces (purchase and set up courtesy of Nicole Alexandra Designs) // Chicken wire frame with drink menus (frame courtesy of Nicole Alexandra Designs)
DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR BRIDES WHO ARE CURRENTLY IN THE PLANNING PROCESS? // My best advice is to “Do you and you will be fine.” We didn’t want to be traditional at all. It was important for the whole wedding to really feel like us. That’s why we did it the way we did. I loved every moment.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF BEING MARRIED NOW? // No more wedding planning! And now planning the rest of our lives together.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO COMMENT BELOW AND TELL DANIEL & SHERRY HOW MUCH YOU LOVE THEM!

After doing mini sessions for just about ten years, and family portraits for... who knows how long, I`m finally trying this out. Im hoping that we can get some great smiles from the little ones today with a "treasure" incentive. Those young ones really need a lot of encouragement. Im hoping this helps!
If you still want to join me for a mini session this year, I highly recommend booking right now. They are going fast and I keep having to open up more. If you haven`t booked already, this is the time!! I only have a couple more days I can open up before the Callender is fully booked.
I cant wait to see everyone this year!

Take me on all your adventures.
This was taken at Mt rainier and I love the change of pace here. C asked to lay in the grass and capture this pose and mood.. Now I kind if want to add this one in more. Isn`t it wonderful?! I love their connection and how they fully immersed themselves in their engagement session.
This didn`t go as planned. When they arrived, they knew what was about to happen. Both of them.
When i first talked to L, we chatted about the perfect plan for the proposal. We went through our different options.... I could hide, or we would play "photoshoot," and then he would surprise C with his proposal right when the light and angle were perfect.
The day came, but C knew. She knew the plan and had her own, too. It was perfect! When L and I talked that morning, C revealed that she was in on the secret too and that she wanted to propose to L and present him a ring, just as L would for her.
It all came to a pinnacle when the light was right and the angle came into place. I gave them the cue and off the walked into the sunset, perfectly famed by haystack rock on Cannon Beach. It felt like time slowed, and they shared love notes with each other as they placed their rings on each other`s hands... the bliss became more real.
The rest of the session was full of glee and the truest love from these two and It was the greatest gift to capture.
MINI SESSIONS UPDATE!! We finally have our new locations posted.
