Johnny: The entire day felt unreal because I was finally marrying the woman I love. Even though we had known each other for so long, having going through a lot of experiences and trying new things, it still felt like a brand new day and adventure. From this point on, it’s a new chapter in our lives.
Some my favorite parts about our wedding included nailing our first dance, dancing with my mom during our parent dance, and watching my groomsmen perform for us.
Emily: I was so excited for throughout the entire day. Everything was passing so quickly and smoothly that I needed to remind myself to take it all in. Everything was more than we expected and could not have turned out better. I remember getting little moments with Johnny to be giddy and squeal that we were finally married and that this day was the best day ever. Like he said, it was the beginning of the next chapter of our lives and we couldn’t wait for it to start!
Some of my favorite parts about our wedding included getting little moments with my bridesmaids and my family, dancing with all of our family and friends, and being with Johnny.
Below, I have added a few questions that can help you while writing about your day. I can’t wait to show off all your beautiful wedding photos. They are amazing!
For your blog post, we want you to re-live your wedding day story. Take a minute with your husband/wife and reminisce some of your favorite memories. We are looking to have you describe your wedding day in a storybook and fairytale way. As you are contemplating, here are some questions for to help you out…
1. Describe your how you felt on your wedding morning, all the anticipation and the love. What were you most looking forward to in the beginning of your day.
Johnny: When I woke up, I thought to myself, “This is going to be the greatest day of my life.” I was most looking forward to seeing Emily in her two dresses, telling her how I felt in my vows in front of our family and friends, and to share a first dance with her. And of course, to eat cake with her at the end of the night.
Emily; I was calm on the outside, but on the inside, I was excited and pumped about the entire day, I was most looking forward to seeing Johnny as much as we could, to share my vows with him, and to dance with him, my family, and friends.
2. Did you have a ‘first look’ or a ‘walk down the aisle’ moment? How did you feel when you saw your significant other for the first time?
Johnny: When I was waiting for her during the first look, I kept thinking about everything we had been through and I couldn’t hold back my tears. When I opened my eyes and saw her in her wedding dress, the thought came to me that I was finally marrying this beautiful girl and how I couldn’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.
Emily: After months of keeping my dress a secret, i was so excited to go up to Johnny and show him. I could feel myself getting nervous as I walked up to him, but was even more excited about seeing his reaction in the dress. When i reached for his hand and he turned around, I could see him tearing up and that made me tear up as well. I think we were overwhelmed with emotions knowing that this was really happening,
3. What was your favorite moment/story from your wedding day?
Johnny: The entire ceremony was my favorite moment. I was able to walk down the aisle with my parents, see my best friends standing up there with me, and seeing Emily walk down the aisle and taking her hand to say our vows.
Emily: There are so many to pick from because the entire day was just a dream, from spending the day with our family and friends to our entire wedding ceremony and reception. After our first dance. our entire wedding party and our family and friends joined us on the dance floor and there was so much love surrounding us in that moment. That was definitely a moment I think we’ll remember fondly. However, another one of my favorite moments was when his groomsmen surprised us with a performance after our best man’s speech to get the crowd pumped up and ready to dance. It really got people on their feet and kept the party going.
4. How did your day most feel like a fairytale?
Johnny: When we arrived at Descanso, everything seemed perfect. it was the perfect day. The venue and weather was incredible and to be able to have our ceremony with everything in full bloom made our day very special.
Emily: Everything about it made it feel like a fairytale. Everything went so well that it was hard to imagine that it was real. The day passed so quickly and perfectly that we couldn’t have asked for a better day.
