Whimsical Garden Wedding at Strawberry Farms// David & Erin
Whimsical Garden Wedding at Strawberry Farms// David & Erin @2019 Sun & Sparrow // Los Angeles County Wedding Photographers
1.) Bride – The morning of I was just excited and praying that everyone showed up and everything went smoothly. It didn’t quite hit home for me that this was the big day until heading over to the venue. Getting all dolled-up at the hotel was very fun and I was blown away by how beautiful everyone looked!! I was most looking forward to seeing that everything was in place and to see the whole wedding party together including David.
Groom – The morning of I felt very nervous, but excited to put on my uniform. I most looked forward to seeing Erin in her dress. I was anxious to see how everything was going to turn out.
2.) We decided to do a first look so that we could take photos together earlier in the day and take full advantage of having the photographers there for the getting ready photos.
– When I (Erin) first saw David, I could not stop smiling. He looked very handsome and everything was becoming so real. I was proud of us both for making it to this point in our relationship and I knew without a doubt that he was the love of my life and I was excited to think of our future together.
– When I (David) first saw Erin, I thought she was the prettiest bride he had ever seen. I was happy with how her makeup turned out because we had both agreed ahead of time that the trial makeup just wasn’t an accurate portrayal of who she was.
3.) Favorite Moment-
Bride: My favorite moment was dancing in the barn. All of the nerves had settled, bellies were full, and everyone looked like they were having a great time. I could just sit back for the first time and enjoy the fruits of all of my efforts to get us to that point.
Groom: My favorite moment was standing at the altar with my best friends and family, and waiting for Erin to come out of the clubhouse down the aisle. It brought me such comfort to see all of the people there that supported us in our journey into the next steps in our lives together.
4.) Most like a fairytale –
Bride: The day felt most like a fairytale when we were taking our pictures around the golf course after the first look. I felt comfortable in my skin and was enjoying my time with David and enjoying the intimacy of it just being the two of us.
Groom: It was surreal to see it all come together with the efforts of all of the vendors. They all contributed such unique talents and creativity to make such a beautiful wedding for us.
I met Helen last year in Seattle at my optometrist`s office (far away, I know...) who is the receptionist there. She was the sweetest, most compassionate and fun-loving person to navigate a confusing new part of my journey as someone who now wears glasses permanently. In any case, she and I have gotten to know each other through the process of glasses+weddings (such a funny combo!). I have watched her journey and gotten to know so much about the depth of how she cares for people, and its so so beautiful.
She`s one of the youngest brides I have ever worked with, and it has shown me SO MUCH about my next generation of brides and how I CANNOT WAIT for those weddings coming soon. The energy coming into the next era of weddings is so fresh and blissful, Something we all need much more of in the world.
Helen, Youre a gem. I`m so thoroughly grateful for you and the fun stories we have created together.
Cheers to Helen and all the brides getting married in this era! WOO!
Had the absolute pleasure of taking pictures of my friends and neighbors who have been the most welcoming and lovely people to live near.
The fact that my little family gets to share life with these warm and thoughtful humans is what I have always dreamed about. I`m so grateful they trusted me to capture these portraits for them at the cutest lake down the road. Its wild how beautiful this place is!
People, nature, and all the love. Its doesn`t get better.
Question: Would you willingly get lost in a hedge maze to get these shots?
Answer: Yes. Every time.
Ivy manor had all the stops for a magical wedding. Including their hedge maze, they had hidden stone houses, ivy covered pathways, iron gates, rose gardens, and castle-themed everything. if youre looking for a fairytale wedding, this is it.
