From The Bride on her Enchanted Wedding:
If I were to describe how I felt the morning of our wedding day in one word, I would say “surreal.” After a year and a half of looking at bridal photos on Pinterest and Instagram, I just couldn’t believe that it was finally my turn to be a bride. I remember looking at my girls with their hair and makeup done, wearing their robes, and thinking “Wow, they look so beautiful.” We laughed and were silly. It was just about us having fun.
Everything started to feel real when I put on my dress. My maid of honor and mom were patiently helping me button all of the buttons. They are beautiful, but can be difficult! I remember starting to feel my anxiety rise, even though I was so confident in what this day was about. All I could think was, “I’m getting married. This is it.”
One of my favorite moments of the day was my first look with my dad. He had no idea what to do or how to act. He literally asked, “What do you want me to do?” as he came out and saw me. We all thought it was hilarious and couldn’t stop laughing. My dad is so special to me and I loved that we didn’t have the typical cheesy moment. He just did what came naturally to him and it was awkwardly perfect.
I remember that I couldn’t wait to see Ryan. I kept wondering, “What is he doing? How is he feeling?” My heart missed him so much and couldn’t wait to give him a hug. We decided not to do a first look because we wanted to see each other for the first time at the ceremony. That moment of walking down the aisle felt incredible.
There was so much love, walking on a trail of rose petals in the middle of friends and family. And then, I saw him and instantly felt a sense of euphoria and peace; like I was home. He looked so handsome and I could see the tears in his eyes. I got teary-eyed too and began to look around me. My mom looked so radiant and happy. His mom couldn’t stop crying. Our dads looked proud. There were so many emotions going on and I was about to marry the man of my dreams. I’ll never forget that moment.
The rest of the day felt more relaxed and we got to focus on eating, dancing, and having fun. Looking back at the day, it was our own version of a perfect little fairytale. The flower arrangements were whimsical, the crystal accents added a touch of elegance, and the scenery at Calamigos Ranch is pure romance. It was one of the best days of our lives and I’m so happy Sun and Sparrow beautifully captured the special moments so we can cherish these memories forever.
