Interview With The Bride

FROM THE BRIDE // Paul and I love to travel and partake in new adventures. When the time came to start thinking about wedding décor, we both knew that we wanted to incorporate places that we have visited and have created some of the most unforgettable memories. We wanted to incorporate travel-themed details that would complement some of our favorite places. Paul and I also chose various colors for the flowers such as ivory, white, and blush to add a romantic and classic feel and to also complement the various shades of grey that were used. My bridesmaids wore charcoal grey dresses and the groomsmen wore classic black suits.

The most memorable/favorite moment of our wedding day was our wedding ceremony. We said our vows to one another in front of our dear family and friends. It was such an amazing experience and feeling and we are both so appreciative to have had such love and support from all those that attended.

Photography is so important to us because photos document life’s most memorable and unforgettable moments. They are moments captured in time and being able to share these moments with one another and our loved ones is completely priceless. These photos will always remind us of our special day. When we were originally looking for a photographer, I had come across Sun and Sparrow and I absolutely loved the photos that I saw. Their work and style is truly unique and classic and we both knew that they would captivate our special day in such an amazing way. Claudia, our photographer shot both our engagement and wedding photos. She was simply amazing to work with and we both loved her creativity and attention to detail.

My advice to future brides, who are currently in the planning process, is to not worry about the little things and always remember that at the end of the day, all that matters is that you are marrying the love of your life.

Now, that we are officially married, going through the various day-to-day activities of life is our favorite part. Living life with my best friend is truly amazing and such a blessing. We both look forward to what is in store for us as we go through this journey together.

Went out looking for the most fairytale location I could find... Did I find it? I will let you decide.

I was at a BVD appt when I met the receptionist there. Helen was the sweetest, most fun, and most personable receptionist who made me feel so comfortable and joyful to be at one of the most benign places... the eye doctor. She made the place fun and festive... so when she mentioned she was engaged, I had to throw my work at her. She immediately felt connected to Sun and Sparrow as much as I felt connected to her, and it was a match made in.... wonderland!

This girl is a fairytale dream... and this might be my most fairytale session yet.

When C&D told me that their venue had a catastrophe and they had to completely change their plans, we all stood stunned.

But not too long after they shared the news, they had a new plan. The wedding downsized and took to the road to Cannon Beach, the place where they took their engagement pictures (remember them from last year?!) And the place where they have made so many memories.

First stop was two beach houses, then to Hug Point. Next, we hit the iconic Cannon Beach with haystack rock in the distance, followed by a relaxed park reception. And to top it off, they ended at Capricorn Pub, a place where they could fully unleash and be their fullest selves with karaoke, pool, and games with their closest people.

Though it wasn't the day they originally planned, it turned out to be completely stunning... and as C&D said, "maybe it wasn't the plan, but maybe it was meant to be this way all along."

The way they managed to shift, to ride with the twists and turns, and to enjoy each moment fully... they truly took my breath away. AND I have to say, seeing them around their entourage, their hype crew, it made complete sense to me how they found the truest form of joy all day. This group of people amazed me at every stop and showed up for every moment.

It was the biggest honor to photograph this wedding and see something so unique and so full of life. I will never forget this day.
