A Traditional Greek Wedding

One of the more interesting parts of wedding photography is that style changes and so does photography. We are so excited that you are here on our website, looking for examples of our work. Maryann and Vaggeli’s traditional greek wedding was quite some time ago now, so to better reflect how our work looks now we invite you to come look at our most recent weddings, either on the blog or on our portfolio page!

If you are interested in something more specific, please make your way over to the inquiry page, where you can contact us and we can answer any questions you may have.

In the meantime, enjoy this excerpt from an interview with Maryann about hers and Vaggeli’s traditional Greek Wedding in Orange County.

What was the most memorable moment at your wedding?

That is a hard question to answer because whether something was amazing or didn’t go as planned, it was still memorable. I embrace every moment in my thoughts and memories because I do not want to forget anything. Every piece of that special day was memorable in its own way from getting ready in the morning, the rain, walking down the aisle with my dad, seeing my future husband waiting for me, almost forgetting my bouquet to walk down the aisle, our union as husband and wife, the wonderful sensation warming my whole body with pure joy while leaving the church, my dress and its bustle dilemma, our grand entrance, first dance, cake cutting, needing an ice pack because my dress made me so hot, father-daughter dance, speeches, being surrounded by my amazing family, our huge group dance, bouquet toss, garter toss and of course our first night together as husband and wife. How can I decide what was most memorable? Every second was memorable!

Did you make anything for your decor? Which was your favorite thing to create?

My mother and I made all the wedding favors, and the ceremony programs and helped supply some of our vendors with specific decorations we wanted. My favorite thing to create was not anything for the wedding day specifically or an object for the day,  it was my wedding binder. It is full of everything and anything I would need to know, needed to know, or wanted to know. It made planning and the day a little easier and definitely more organized.

Any advice you would like to share with future brides?

I know weddings can be crazy and have so much detail that it may drive you insane and all the questions that need to be answered may get overwhelming and things may not go as planned or chaos happens a few days before the wedding but remember the only real thing that is important behind all the glitz and glam is remembering that as long as your future husband is waiting for you down the aisle then you will be ok.
