The Couple: Andy & Kimberley

There’s something instantly magnetic about Andy and Kimberley. Their wedding at Redbird Los Angeles was a reflection of their joyful, kind, and deeply present love.
Kimberley radiates warmth. She’s effortlessly smiley, always laughing, and approaches life with a “go with the flow” spirit that makes you want to linger in every moment with her. Andy, on the other hand, is grounded, intentional, and deeply caring. He knows what he likes, and what he likes is taking care of the people he loves. Watching him tend to friends and family on their wedding day was a beautiful reminder of what true hospitality looks like.
Together, they bring out the best in everyone around them. Whether we were snapping portraits in downtown Los Angeles or walking into their ceremony at Redbird, their love felt contagious. It made the entire day light-hearted but deeply rooted.
As a Downtown LA wedding photographer, I get to witness a lot of love stories. But Andy and Kimberley’s stood out for how much care they poured into every moment and every guest. Their joy made the entire day feel easy, genuine, and incredibly special.
The Venue: The Redbird LA

The Redbird LA has two spaces full of greenery. The cocktail space and the reception space are like lush greenhouses. As you dine and connect you’re surrounded by plants and life. Meanwhile, the venue is centered in the middle of LA which makes the natural beauty of this space an inescapably precious oasis. When you walk in you go through the reception area, through the cocktail space, to the ceremony space, and the journey you take is a mix of modern architecture, old world wrought iron detail work and classic arches, all intermingled with greenery, plants, and natural light.
The Wedding Day: Love in an Oasis

Kimberley and Andy’s wedding day started at the Omni Hotel, where they had their first look. Then we went over to the Disney Concert Hall where we hit all of the most iconic spots like the mirrored hallway, a patio overlooking the city, and we captured romantic portraits with the modern art that is so prevalent there.
After the Disney Concert Hall we went to the Redbird for their ceremony. The space was full of ivy covered walls and two rows of olive trees that drape over the aisle, carrying hanging lanterns that add a dreamy feel. The ceremony itself was classic. I love seeing iconic ceremonies where the couple can be the focus. This time there were smiles everywhere, and I couldn’t get enough.
One of the most iconic spaces in the Redbird is The Cardinals Quarters. The room is color drenched in teal and it feels like a piece of the past. Beautiful old world features feel unique and vibrant in a new way, and I just loved taking photos here.
After photos Kimberley and Andy joined cocktail hour and ate delicious food that Redbird is known for. They lingered in the garden for a while and then everyone headed up to the reception space in the main restaurant where they dined and partied for the rest of the night. The open air, greenhouse vibes, arches, and modern architecture made for a magical and dreamy night that I will never forget!
