A SUN & SPARROW JOURNEY from Fallon, a mommy-to-be // 

Life can change faster than you think is possible. It’s hard to believe that three years to the day after my husband Drew and I met in Santa Monica, we’ll be expecting a wonderful son to join our family.  Our pregnancy journey has certainly had its ups and downs.  When my husband and I first started trying, I got pregnant really quickly. I knew how common miscarriage was, but I didn’t think I would have any problems.  Within in the first 10 weeks of that pregnancy we had a miscarriage.  Words cannot describe how shocking and awful it was.  A month later, I felt ready to start trying again and once again, I got pregnant right away. Ten weeks later almost the same thing happened.  Even though I knew this can happens to so many women, I felt like something was wrong with me and we decided to take a break from trying.
After a 4 month break we got pregnant again.  This time felt different. Its amazing how mothers can be so intuitive.  The only up and down we’re focused on now is the ever growing (and kicking!) bump inside me.  We are both scared (me of labor, Drew of diapers) and thrilled to become new loving parents, and we can’t wait to help our son grow up into a great man.  We can’t wait to see him walk, hear him talk, watch him get into trouble with his “fur sister” Sierra the husky, and then have him realize how so very dearly his parents love him and will appreciate every moment with him.  But we’ll have to wait, a little less than two more months, for our family to grow and this parenting adventure to begin.

    Capturing all these fairytale moments has been one of the most life-giving things I have done with my life and looking back at these images gives me more perspective than i thought it might.

    I have seen countless couples get married in the most scenic places with the day covered in such elegance. But what stands out to me the most is the wonderful people that I have had the honor to work with. The amount of love, generosity, compassion, and dedication these people have has changed my life in ways I never knew would. It has made me think deeply about how I love, how I see people, and how my point of view is only just mine. Each person is so unique and such a gift that I cannot let mine become my only narrative. These people carry endless beauty and stories to be told.

    Weddings aren`t just about the show, they are truly about love stories that persevere. And with that sentiment, I feel like capturing people`s days is so much more than pretty imagery, its about writing the story of their souls intertwining and merging with their families, ready to create new chapters and generations of love.

    When you hire me, you get more than a person creating pictures. Youre inviting me to preserve who you are entirely in that moment and all the significance around you. I dont take that lightly.
