      1. Describe your how you felt on your wedding morning, all the anticipation and the love. What were you most looking forward to in the beginning of your day.

(Kayla) I didn’t sleep all night! I am not sure if it was nerves or excitement that this day has finally come, after a year of planning. Jeff and I went on a walk that morning around the ranch that morning. Our last one before becoming Mr. and Mrs! We visited the horses and goats and were able to see the beginning stages of our magical day being put together. I felt so much more relaxed at at ease afterward. After that we parted ways and the girls started getting ready. I was most looking forward to walking down the isle with my dad and looking to Jeff.

      2. Did you have a ‘first look’ or a ‘walk down the aisle’ moment? How did you feel when you saw your significant other for the first time?

(Jeff) We had a first look. I felt like I was the luckiest guy on Earth, and at the same time, felt like we were the only people in the world. I was so mesmerized by her beauty, I had no words. She literally took my breath away.

      3. What was your favorite moment/story from your wedding day?

(Jeff) My favorite part of the wedding was our ceremony. It was so personal and so full of love and happiness. There were few tears and a lot of laughs.  And of course your vows. “This is it.”

(Kayla) My favorite moment was our first dance. I have never felt more in love than at I did at the very moment. We had a friend give us a few lessons prior to it, but in that moment, I forgot that there were other people around us. It left like it was just him and I dancing alone.

      4. How did your day most feel like a fairytale?

(Both of us)  It was all the love around us! Pure happiness filled the air. A feeling that is indescribable. There is nothing better than having all your friends and family in one place just to celebrate love! From the castle like settling, to the beautiful flowers, our vows, the candlelight dinner, watching the kids have the time of their lives on the dance floor, and of course the endless kissing! Every single moment was so magical

FROM THE BRIDE //  The morning of our wedding, although like most mornings where we each took a moment to grab coffee and a bite to eat was also one filled with the anticipation of what was to come. We had spent nearly a year prior to our wedding day, planning for this amazing event, and both could not believe that it was here. Each of us spent our mornings excited and ready to pronounce our love for one another. We were excited to see our family and one another in the afternoon, but our morning kept us on our toes a bit, as it was raining all throughout Santa Barbara. For us, the rain was just something that we’d take in stride, as our love for one another and sharing this moment together was going to be amazing and special. And oh boy, was it. Plus, rain on your wedding day is lucky, right?
Did you share a first look? // We shared our ‘first look’ of one another while walking down the aisle. In seeing Trevor stand at the other end of the aisle while I walked toward him, I couldn’t believe that I was walking toward my future husband. This moment was one that we had talked about for some time, and everything and everyone else just melted away. My focus was directly on him, and how handsome he looked. I remember smiling from ear to ear and feeling ready to call the man in front of me, my husband.
I was excited to see Kristina in her dress for the first time so even though she was getting ready across the hotel I went extra out of my way to not accidentally catch a glimpse during the day. She looked amazing when I got to see here at the end of the aisle and the wait was worth it. As she walked down the aisle I could only feel extremely grateful that I was here with her and very much in love.
What was your favorite moment/story from your wedding day? //  One thing that we loved about our wedding day was how our vows were reflective of our love and our story together. We had discussed how fate had brought us together, and couldn’t believe early on, how many things we had in common. In saying our vows to one another, we felt as though they were reflective of everything that we’ve been though and all that we hope for and promise to do in our lives together.
How did your day most feel like a fairytale? // Everything that went into our day made it feel like our own fairytale. Our morning began with rain coming down, to clearing up around noon. The freshness in the air after a rain, along with the moody clouds in the sky with the sun peeking through is something we won’t soon forget. Our flowers were perfect and in looking at them they reminded us of fall. Our family was present which made our day an intimate one where we felt absolutely surrounded by love. In looking at one another, we knew that no matter what was to come, as long as we were in it together, we’d be stronger together. And in marrying each other on October 4th, the anniversary of the day that we met, made everything that much sweeter. We feel blessed to live life together and cannot wait for all that is to come.

FROM THE BRIDE AND GROOM // Following a classic girls sleepover with my bridesmaids, I woke up in bed next to my two best friends.  I remember thinking “Today’s the day! Remember to enjoy every moment.” I took multiple moments to stop and collect my thoughts throughout the day. Things started to pass by quickly, and our two bedroom hotel room filled up fast with bridesmaids getting their makeup and hair done.  As excited and sure I was about marrying the man of my dreams, I was jittery in a way I never had been. But I kept strong and continued to enjoy every moment and giggle from my best friends surrounding me. I looked at my bridesmaids, thinking ahead at the amazing day I knew so many people I loved worked so hard to help me put on.

Joe woke up to a house full of guys, woke up super thirsty from all the salt the guys binged on the night before at their own sleepover. The guys watched an hour of news, had a toast and started getting ready. Joes best lady demanded that he eat, he wasn’t hungry because he felt jittery and incredibly excited. Guys took a group photo in front and listened to Mexican music on the drive to the church (to celebrate Cinco de mayo). Joe was excited to see me, and was stunned when he saw me down the aisle.

When it was time to head to our venue, we hopped into our limo. We arrived at the church and everything felt like a blur. But seeing Joe at the end of that long aisle, everything melted away. Everything felt right, the most I’d ever felt. I remember the gentle smile on his face, even seeing it from afar. And I loved how he kept looking at me throughout the ceremony, it was so sweet. I was also so impressed at how many loved ones showed up to the mass. One thing that we decided to do differently was to visit Joe’s father’s grave. We wanted to be intentional to honor him and his family on the day of our wedding. When we arrived, it wasn’t sad at all. It would have been awesome to have him there at the ceremony, but we were so happy to have him in our hearts in that moment.

After some of the most heartfelt moments at our ceremony and at Joe’s father’s grave, we were finally ready to head to our ceremony! When I walked into the Ebell of Long Beach, I was so so so impressed! My mom & Aunt had decorated the space with the help of our coordinators, Wish Wonder Dream. Everything from the arrangements to the table placement to the garlands that went on the bannisters were so gorgeous. My vision of vibrant florals, bougainvillea and Spanish inspiration was executed beautifully. I’ve always loved bright colors, but really love to have everything as natural as possible. I planned for succulents and bougainvillea because they can be found in nature together and are easy plants that have the capability to self sustain and grow wild. I wanted to balance it with beige and champagne colors because I love sparkle! Even the greens I used look like they could grow in a similar climate to succulents.

OUR FAVORITE MOMENT FROM THE DAY WAS DANCING THE NIGHT AWAY. It was time for our grand entrance and we basically didn’t stop until the end. Our dance went PERFECTLY because I let him lead, stayed calm and allowed him to guide me when we got stuck. I was so proud of us. After dinner the party was ON. I am impressed with how long we lasted on the dance floor, and am so happy we lived the night out to its fullest.I remember smiling and laughing and partying nonstop all happy and no drama that I knew of with my husband and loved ones.

It was the perfect start to the rest of our lives!
