FROM THE BRIDE // The morning of our wedding, although like most mornings where we each took a moment to grab coffee and a bite to eat was also one filled with the anticipation of what was to come. We had spent nearly a year prior to our wedding day, planning for this amazing event, and both could not believe that it was here. Each of us spent our mornings excited and ready to pronounce our love for one another. We were excited to see our family and one another in the afternoon, but our morning kept us on our toes a bit, as it was raining all throughout Santa Barbara. For us, the rain was just something that we’d take in stride, as our love for one another and sharing this moment together was going to be amazing and special. And oh boy, was it. Plus, rain on your wedding day is lucky, right?
Did you share a first look? // We shared our ‘first look’ of one another while walking down the aisle. In seeing Trevor stand at the other end of the aisle while I walked toward him, I couldn’t believe that I was walking toward my future husband. This moment was one that we had talked about for some time, and everything and everyone else just melted away. My focus was directly on him, and how handsome he looked. I remember smiling from ear to ear and feeling ready to call the man in front of me, my husband.
I was excited to see Kristina in her dress for the first time so even though she was getting ready across the hotel I went extra out of my way to not accidentally catch a glimpse during the day. She looked amazing when I got to see here at the end of the aisle and the wait was worth it. As she walked down the aisle I could only feel extremely grateful that I was here with her and very much in love.
What was your favorite moment/story from your wedding day? // One thing that we loved about our wedding day was how our vows were reflective of our love and our story together. We had discussed how fate had brought us together, and couldn’t believe early on, how many things we had in common. In saying our vows to one another, we felt as though they were reflective of everything that we’ve been though and all that we hope for and promise to do in our lives together.
How did your day most feel like a fairytale? // Everything that went into our day made it feel like our own fairytale. Our morning began with rain coming down, to clearing up around noon. The freshness in the air after a rain, along with the moody clouds in the sky with the sun peeking through is something we won’t soon forget. Our flowers were perfect and in looking at them they reminded us of fall. Our family was present which made our day an intimate one where we felt absolutely surrounded by love. In looking at one another, we knew that no matter what was to come, as long as we were in it together, we’d be stronger together. And in marrying each other on October 4th, the anniversary of the day that we met, made everything that much sweeter. We feel blessed to live life together and cannot wait for all that is to come.
