How it looked…

Romantic. Pretty. Candles Everywhere!

These were the three things I kept telling everyone to describe the vision for our wedding day. From the first pin on the Pinterest board pinned to final candle lit, every little detail I had been envisioning for this perfect day had come to fruition.

How I, the bride, felt…

For a good month or so before the wedding I tried not to think about how I would feel the actual day of the wedding because tears would instantly fill my eyes. When the day finally came, I made a promise to myself to feel every emotion. From laughter, to smiles, and plenty of tears, I can honestly say I felt all the feels. The day truly was over in the blink of an eye. I never believed anyone when they told me that, but it proved to be true. Throughout the morning the butterflies would come and go. When my hair and makeup was done, and I got to have a moment with my wedding dress, those butterflies became way more constant. The next thing I knew, my father was walking me down the aisle to my husband (I’m still getting used to saying that.. but I LOVE it). In that moment, as I looked through my tear filled eyes, into Tommy’s tear filled eyes, I felt peace. In that moment, nothing else mattered. I let go of all of the worry and stress from wedding planning, and lived in that moment, the moment we became husband & wife.

Fast forward to the reception. The tears finally stopped and the dancing commenced. I took a moment during the party to really stop and take a look around. While this day was for us, it was also a special day we got to share with our family and friends. As I looked around at each person there to celebrate our love, I felt nothing but gratitude.

What we’ll remember forever…

We feel so grateful to now have such beautiful photograph to always remember this day. Every smile, every tear, and every giggle was captured and helped execute the raw emotion that was felt all day long. The memories we made that day are just the beginning. We are so excited for the rest of our lives and everything that is to come as a married couple. Our wedding day was just the start…

Describe your how you felt on your wedding morning, all the anticipation and the love. What were you most looking forward to in the beginning of your day.

The morning of our wedding was filled with anxious anticipation, excitement, love and so much joy all at once. Jeremy, his brothers and cousin Adam went for a quick round of golf and felt a lot of excitement as he thought about this day was finally it! It’s the day we’ve planned and talked about for months on end. Sarah and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready, drinking mimosas and coffee and just talking about how surreal it feels for this day to actually be here. Both of us were most looking forward to seeing each other and we both had butterflies just thinking about the moment when we finally did.

Did you have a ‘first look’ or a ‘walk down the aisle’ moment? How did you feel when you saw your significant other for the first time?

When Jeremy saw Sarah going down the aisle, he felt an overwhelming amount of emotions that brought him to tears and he was just absolutely bursting with love . He felt like the luckiest man in the world to be marrying such a beautiful person inside and out. In that moment, he knew that there will never be a decision in life that he’ll be more sure of than marrying this girl. As cliche as it sounds, it was and will be one of those few precious moments in life that he will never forget.

It’s hard for Sarah to put in words how she felt walking down the aisle because everything about it felt so dreamlike that its difficult to describe the beauty of the sunlight peaking through the trees in the meadow and the smiling faces of all the friends and family surrounding them on that day. Once she was done taking it all in, she locked eyes with Jeremy up the altar who soon after wiped away tears from his eyes. . As she got closer, she felt her heart skip a beat and realize how grateful and blessed she is to have someone to love and adore forever.

What was your favorite moment/story from your wedding day?

Our favorite memory from our wedding day would probably be the ceremony where we got to share our love for each other in front of all our family and friends and the moments in between where we stood at the end of the altar, holding hands and knowing that soon after this we’ll have the rest of forever to live happily ever after. We also really cherish the moment when our photographer stepped away to just give us some time to be alone in the meadow after the ceremony and family photos were done. People always tell you to pause and look around to see and take a mental picture of small moments during your wedding day because it goes by so fast and that was one that we both will never forget because it gave us a chance to be alone even just for a few minutes to look at each other and soak it all in.

How did your day most feel like a fairytale?

Our day felt most like a fairytale because we were just surrounded with so much love by all of the most important people in our lives. It felt fantastical to know that this may be the only time we will ever have all these people in one place all together like this and they all came to celebrate our us and our love. It was such a happy day and it went as smoothly and perfectly as we could have possibly hoped for.
