As Often as I get the privilege to see weddings as a photographer, it is such a beautiful part of my life to see my friends get married, not as a photographer, but as a guest! I first met Trevor through Peter at church, and then Mary soon after. I remember first finding out that they were serious about getting married during a big church lunch at Chili’s. Not too much time passed after that when Trevor proposed to her in a Hot air balloon! Everyone giggled at their ceremony when they showed the video of the proposal with Trevor’s sweet words Mary’s Priceless response! From then Mary got RIGHT into planning for their big day. Seeing the classic and vintage style come together made the moment even more perfect for the two. Congratulations to my wonderful friend!!!

Each detail of their day described their personalities so well. They used a vibrant salmon-pink as their accent color, bringing their reception to life with their antique style adding little details like birdcages, ivy and candies to keep it sweet. They even had a candy bar, which is always something I love to sneak a bite or two of, to add to their wedding gifts for their guests.

It turned out to be an interesting jumble of a day since it landed on my birthday, and Peter (my boyfriend) was part if the music for their wedding. They first played “Yellow” by Coldplay, then “I Wanna Grow Old With You” by Adam Sandler followed by “The Way I Am” by Ingrid Michelson when they did their first dance. It was so cute how Trevor took off his coat and gave it to her at the perfect spot in the song.

I have to say that seeing these two start their lives together was definitely the best gift I could ask for. What a beautiful sight it was to see my two good friends make that eternal commitment before God. I love them both so much!
