FROM THE BRIDE // Our main goal for our wedding was to make sure we were in the moment and present, especially since we didn’t have a videographer. I would say we did just that. I couldn’t have asked for a better night from the vendors to our guests. I honestly couldn’t think of anything I would have done differently, it was truly a dream come true. My inspiration started with more of a Rustic theme with burlap and all that good jazz. It fit well with our venue being outdoors and an equestrian center. That all changed the moment I found “the” dress. My mom was a big part of planning and was helping me every step of the way. My mom has more of a glamorous, bedazzled, blingy, and sparkly style (which is much different from my rustic, vintage, plain jane style). We decided to meet in the middle and decided our décor would be Chabby Chic as we called it. There were mason jars, and lots of flowers, with some fancier looking centerpieces with lace dollies. I was so happy with the outcome of our two styles coming together and I couldn’t imagine it being any different, it was perfect.
My most memorable part of the day was just dancing the night away. My husband and I shared our first dance but unlike most weddings we also got to share it with our two children which was very special to us. Our DJ was so amazing and new exactly what kind of music to play to keep everyone dancing the night away.
I have a few words of advice for brides/grooms planning there wedding….
1. Spend the extra money on your vendors, especially your DJ and Photographer. Spend less on décor and such because honestly people don’t notice those things (and neither do you the  day of) I am waiting to see all my décor, and wedding cake from my photographers!
2. Make sure you are living in the moment and not looking at photos later and then remember all the things that happened. Be present… put your phone away and live YOUR special day (you only get to once!)
3. Don’t stress about the little things, or about the people that can’t make it. I realized a lot of “family” have weird priorities, but you can’t let that get you down. You have to know that whoever is there to celebrate is who matters most. As for the little things… don’t stress if certain things don’t get done right or at all. No one will notice but you (maybe).
4. ENJOY AND HAVE FUN!

The morning I woke up, I was alone in my hotel room. I got in the shower and knew there were so many things to be done, as I was coordinating it myself. I waited for my makeup artist, and friend Matthew, to arrive and begin setting up. Once my room began to fill with my closet friends, my anxiety wore off and this special day I have been waiting for my entire life, started. I wasn’t nervous, I was just ready. I felt at ease and at peace, cause finally I was going to marry the man that completes my heart and my life. Seeing him for the first time on that day, filled me with so much joy, that I didn’t cry, but rather smiled so much I almost floated away. That day was filled with our closest friends and family, and it was a day of celebration, one I won’t ever forget.

When I walked down the aisle, my eyes were solely locked on Cameron. I couldn’t believe after all these years, we were finally there to pledge our love to one another with our family present. As he recited his vows, I couldn’t help but focus on his eyes as they welled up. We both wrote a similar line in our vows, without the other one knowing beforehand, “you are my light in the dark!” That is exactly what defines us for one another. It was so beyond perfect, and made that moment even more special.

My father-daughter dance to Somewhere Over the Rainbow was so special to me. I thought I would have been more emotional, as it was my mom’s favorite song, and the song she danced with my brothers to at their weddings. I was emotional, but my dad and I smiled and laughed, and I believe we were surrounded by mom’s light and love. Leading into the song Shout, just made the end of the dance even more perfect. It was a song I remember singing in the car with my dad, and it always makes me happy. To have everyone come out and share in that dance with us, made the start of the celebration even more perfect.

My inspiration was just make it simple. I wanted color, but clean. I fell in love with these vintage vineyard tables, and the rest fell into place. The simplicity of the terrariums, add a touch of fancy to the loft without making it gaudy. I went to the flower market the day before in DTLA, and chose what stood out to me. I dind’t have a color theme, but purple tones felt soft and bright at the same time to me. I really wanted the day to be remembered for our two families coming together, and celebrating mine and Cameron’s crazy path of building a life together.

My biggest piece of advice would be to get a wedding coordinator or find a venue that does it all😊 I was really stressed out trying to navigate so many vendors, and people that it was a little overwhelming. It was worth it, and it all turned out beautiful, but the more help the better for your sanity.

Chris & Tamara // Romantic Big Bear wedding

The morning of the wedding was incredibly peaceful. Anything that wasn’t perfect was just dropped, and I knew the things that mattered would fall into place. My girls and I did a little bible reading and prayer time before getting ready. Prepping for the day was a breeze. Chris slept in until he had to get dressed for the first look, which was done behind the groomsmen cabin. The first look location was perfect: romantic and natural. Chris’ favorite moment of the day was turning around and seeing me in my dress. I loved the intimacy of that moment. My favorite moment was sharing our private and personal vows in the gazebo. Then we were rushed off to the ceremony, which was mostly a blur. One of the most memorable moments for me was at the last second, our brothers decided to switch mothers to demonstrate that we were all family. My brother who was originally supposed to escort our mom ended up escorting Chris’ mom, and Chris’ brother escorted my mom. Chris surprised me by having our dear friend who officiated translate parts of the ceremony speech into Serbian, my first language. Our rings were left in the bridal suite up the hill, creating a comical moment during the ring exchange. Thankfully my bridesmaids had two rings between them that we used as props (something borrowed?). The first kiss was magical, walking together was just right. The family photos were done in true Todorovich-Webster fashion: chaotic, fun, and full of love. I was so surprised to see how well everyone connected. This was even more evident during the toasts. We had planned for only the Maid of Honor and the Best Man to make a speech. But the microphone just kept getting passed along to other family members until everyone shared their feelings of our love. At the head table, we were crying laughing from the sweetness it all. Neither one of us had ever felt so much love all at once.
While planning, we both immediately knew we wanted to be outdoors. Every banquet hall and chapel we visited had the same stifled air about it. Being in nature was a necessity. Given the craziness of both of our families and the excitement of the wedding day itself, being surrounded by peaceful, steady nature helped us really center ourself on what matters: our love. It was a perfect balance. The rest of the decor had to honor the nature. Our florist used mostly flowers and greenery native to the mountain, and then only ones that would complement them. Our whole aura is romance, so of course my bridesmaids were in a deep red, and his groomsmen had deep red velvet ties. It all came together better than I imagined. Romance and nature.
Chris’ advice for anyone planning their wedding is simply don’t stress. Make a list, delegating tasks to each person. Take time to snuggle and focus on the whole reason you’re getting married. My advice would include a wedding journal as well. From day one, I wrote absolutely everything wedding-related in my journal, even information I thought might be useless. It just really helped to have all of my thoughts, ideas, documented conversations, timelines, etc all in one place. And also don’t stress. So many things were imperfect about my wedding. In the end none of those details matter. If you go home with a spouse you absolutely adore, you had a successful wedding.
