Kasim & Amanda | Love at first sight | Temecula Engagement Photographers
Kasim & Amanda, I have to say are a beautiful couple. Not only are they very good looking, but they have beautiful hearts. Amanda and Kasim recently purchased a home in Temecula and wanted to take photos in their neighborhood. That meant that I needed to drive out to Temecula from Torrance. It’s a long haul, to say the least, BUT I only say that with love! After our shoot they invited me to dinner and were so willing to share their lives with me. Their love for one another, their love story, and their genuine desire to be my friend was so endearing. I am absolutely honored to be part of their lives and part of their wedding!
Kasim & Amanda have requested that we keep most of these photos private, so I can only share a few. But I do have to let you know that these photos are amazing and fabulous! I wish you could see them all.
The story from Amanda’s point of view:
Is it possible to know within the first few moments of meeting someone, that you’re about to start on a life-long journey together?
I met Kasim through a mutual friend at my Halloween party in 2008. It was not hard to notice a good-looking guy wearing a fireman costume. After just a few minutes of talking with him, I hoped he would ask me out on a date. However, it took him over a month to work up the courage. It wasn’t always easy for us to see each other. We lived two counties apart and worked opposite schedules. But after plenty of commuter miles, late nights and days taken off work, we gave each other all the time we needed to love and laugh. In the past few years together, we have twice vacationed in Mexico, adopted a dog and bought a house. We’ve come a long way since that fateful Halloween.
One of my favorite surprises was taking Kasim to Catalina for our 3-year anniversary. This was no ordinary sail to the nearby island. A friend of a friend had agreed to FLY us to Catalina in his private plane and let Kasim take the controls! In light of our occasional adventures, our day to day life is a lot more calm and routine; consisting of carpools and dinners at home. It’s very seldom we get to do something extraordinary like that, but it’s every day we notice all the sweet things we do for each other. I love that he wakes up early on his day off, just to drive me to meet my carpool. I love that he can make the most amazing dinner when I think there’s nothing to put together in our pantry. I love how hard he works to make our life easier and our home nice.
Every day I come home, I am thankful we met. As I walk though our beautiful, new house, I notice the dining room waiting to have Christmas dinners with family. I notice the picture frames waiting to be filled with new memories. This Halloween will be four years since the day we met. It will also be the day we get our marriage license. I am filled with hope for the future and excited to have my best friend by my side. Thank goodness for Halloween…..
