Andrew & Larissa’s Story:

I wanted to first mention that we met in our freshman year of community college while taking a class together. One day, coincidentally, we both missed the same day of our History class, causing us to be paired together to make up the missing assignment. As the we planned and prepared for our assignments, our friendship grew and grew. We grew into an inseparable pair, that grew into a couple, that grew into a committed relationship. Little could I even imagine that because of that skipped class, that our relationship would grow into something so much more beautiful.

As our friendship and fondness grew for one another, we found that every moment spent was with one another. We found that our spring semester in the same class, turned into the fall semester, which quickly turned into the new year. We had became so much more serious and began to discuss marriage. Wow, thinking about marriage was so exciting! I could imagine myself as a wife years from this moment where there was so much love. As we both began to pray and seek God’s acknowledgement for confirmation, Matthew 6:33 kept coming to our minds. “But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you.”

As we were faithful to pray and were faithful to God’s calling, God was faithful to us. He began to reveal hints and visions of our marriage marriage. As we spoke to our parents and family, we realized that it was the perfect step for both of our lives. After the new year, Andrew was very quick to propose to me. Without hesitation, he knew he had all the means in order to ask for my hand in marriage. We had been together for four years. Andrew finally popped the big question to his college sweetheart. I think every day how wonderfully blessed I am to have this amazing man. He did everything I could have asked from a man. From asking my parents blessing, to purchasing an engagement ring. The only thing I regret is waiting so long! I know he would say the same!

God has truly been a strong foundation for us both. To know that we are not alone in this journey of life that can be so frightening and hopeless. At this time, we are blessed to have so many people in our lives also supporting us. We are beyond excited for our new life together. As our day comes, we are excited to see our friends and families, so excited to be married an with one another. We decided that a three month engagement would be best, not only because we want to be married, but mostly because we are restless!

We can’t wait to see you all, and to all those who can’t come, thank you so much for your prayers and support!
