FROM THE BRIDE // When deciding on our theme we decided on a simple décor. Since we both enjoy discovering new beers we incorporated beer into our theme as well. We liked the simplicity of the lanterns with a ring of flowers around it and the wooden boxes represent a six pack of beers. We used some of our favorite brews and ciders as the table name assignments. Hydrangeas played a large role in our décor since those are some of my favorite flowers. We really just wanted easy, simple and beautiful décor.
My favorite part of the day was when our wedding party and family helped us out to set up and decorate the reception locale. It may have been small gesture but it showed us how much our family and friends support us and how much they love us. The most memorable part of the day for me was when we said our I Do’s. It meant that everything we had gone through over the previously, good and bad, were all worth it because we made it this point in our lives.
Photography was important to us because we wanted as many moments captured on film as possible. We knew we weren’t going to be able to see everything that went on during our wedding. We chose the Sun & Sparrow team because we loved their style and we knew they would capture the beauty of our wedding day. I had seen some pictures of a friend who had been in a wedding that the Sun & Sparrow team had shot and that led me to look into the team. I looked at more of the teams work and was hooked!
Planning can be stressful but remember to relax. Delegate task and accept help from family and friends. The additional help will definitely reduce the stress felt throughout the process. Also, you may or may not be getting outside opinions (solicited or not) just remember to stay true to you and your future husband’s style. At the end of it things may go wrong but just go with it as they do not dictate the rest of life. Most of all enjoy your wedding day as it goes by in a flash!
Antonio and I had been together for nearly 9 years before getting married (as our anniversary is just two days after our wedding anniversary). So it has been weird getting used to calling him my husband LOL but I love it! I love knowing we are going to spend the rest of our lives together and take on whatever life throw at us as husband and wife!
