A Sparkling Exit | Kyle and Molly’s Wedding | Palm Springs Wedding Photography

This wedding exit HAS to be my favorite yet because of their sparkling farewell. There is just something about sparklers that gives a wedding surreal exit. I don’t know how to explain it, but for me it just makes my heart melt. So, with all that said, I just wanted to share with you a few photos of how this fantastic couple, Kyle and Molly, chose to end their wedding.

When we were fist talking with Molly about her wedding photos, she was SO in love with a long exposure shot that wrapped the couple in a sparkling light. It was such a great shot of a bride and groom standing near a tree with sparkles circling the couple. At first I thought to myself “Wow, how on earth will I approach this??” I knew it would be a challenge, but at the same time I just couldn’t wait to try it out! I had done some long exposure shots before, but they can get tricky. It took some brainstorming, but it ended up working out perfectly. The trick was to talk Kyle and Molly through their job as models for the shot, which was standing still for the forever-long 30 seconds WITHOUT MOVING! Yikes… I know 30 seconds seems short to most people, but man, when it comes down to it, being completely still for that long takes patience. Kyle and molly were troopers and ended up cooperating incredibly. I’m so happy with the way these turned out! I couldn’t believe myself seeing them for the first time. They were just gorgeous!
